Welcome to Mrs. Neeland’s Webpage for Technology at SIS!

My name is Carol Neeland and this is my fourth year at Shekou International School. My job as Technology Coordinator is to assist teachers and students in using technology to enhance learning. The classroom teachers and I work together to integrate technology skills into the themes students are learning about in their classrooms.

SIS currently uses 300 Windows-based PC’s. We have two computer labs for Elementary school and all of our Elementary classrooms are equipped with computers for students and teachers. At our wireless Bayside campus, Middle and High School students use laptop computers.

Students learn a variety of technology skills during the school year. Some of these skills are:

Keyboarding Word Processing Drawing and painting File management

Multimedia skills Spreadsheet management Online research Video editing

Desktop Publishing Web Page design Telecommunications Digital photography
